In our latest news, Moving Buddies are excited to announce that we are now sponsoring Newton Cricket Club seniors team, meaning you will now see our logo on the team’s shirts and a fab new hoarding at their ground.
We are proud to be sponsoring the junior teams as Newton Cricket Club has 4 qualified coaches and field teams at Under 11, 13 and 16.
Newton Cricket Club
Newton Cricket Club has been playing competitive cricket for 100 years! They played at Clarendon Road, Hyde, until 1934, when the club moved to its present home at Barmhouse Lane, Godley, Hyde. During their time there they have been affiliated to several high quality village cricket leagues. Currently the team are members of the Derbyshire & Cheshire Cricket League.
Newton Cricket Club runs three senior teams which cater for all levels of cricket. The first and second elevens play on Saturdays, where both teams compete in their respective premier divisions. With the third team competing in the Derbyshire Cheshire third team league.
The club has enjoyed England and Wales Cricket Board “Focus Club” status and has had Club Mark accreditation since its inception, as well as taking part in the “Chance to Shine” program recently We have long placed a defining emphasis on junior development and we are proud that our senior teams are mostly made up of graduates from our junior teams.
Seniors Teams
Our Good friends Family Matters are also happy to announce that they are now sponsoring Newton Cricket Club seniors team, meaning you will also see their logo on the team’s shirts.
